Let’s celebrate what we did right this week. What do you consider a win this week? For me, it was to hang in there even though I was exhausted. Can you relate? I couldn’t quite identify why, but all week long I was just dragging. I could not get up any motivation or energy to save my life. I know you’ve been there.
Maybe, like me, you’ve had to hang in there and keep plugging along despite the exhaustion.
That’s a win.
Maybe you made your family dinner most nights and took advantage of leftovers some nights.
Did you make your kids breakfast when all you wanted to do was crawl back into bed some days but they made themselves cold cereal some days?
Balance is a win.
Pacing yourself is a win. Making it possible for you to keep yourself going is a huge win.
I folded a mountain of laundry one day and I took a nap on the couch while the older kids were at school and the toddler was napping another day (most days).
Win and win.
I ran a little. but I didn’t run a lot.
I wrote a little, but again, not a lot.
Still a win.
I did what I had to do, but nothing more.
Winnity win win.
I kept at it when I didn’t feel like it. I also paced myself.
I hung in there. Sometimes that’s all you can do, and I count that as a big ol’ win for the week.
Did you hang in there this week?
Is there something else you want to celebrate this week? Let me know in the comments!
And here’s hoping next week has a little more energy and motivation in it. For all of us. But if it doesn’t, at least we know we can hang in there, and that’s all it takes to win.
